Crack Filling & Sealing
In the pavement industry, the terms “filling” and “sealing” are used interchangeably and mean essentially the same thing. Sometimes, the term “sealing” refers to strictly using rubberized elastomeric materials. Crack filling & sealing is an important part of general pavement maintenance. The leading cause of moisture intrusion is pavement deterioration. This can cause a safety hazard, not to mention becoming an annoyance to vehicles and traffic in general, if left unattended. Pavements that have not started deteriorating should ideally have all cracks routed. This process will double the effectiveness of the sealant and ultimately extend the life of your pavement.
A regularly scheduled pavement maintenance program will more than double the life of the asphalt, saving you significant dollars down the line.
